Key Responsibilities
HSE Monitoring
- Monitor HSE inspections to ensure that products, services, equipment, and other items meet HSE standards and are safe for processing or use.
- Review reports and feedback from functions such as technical, projects, and quality to align and support HSE-related matters.
- Monitor HSE compliance and performance by staff and engage in high-impact HSE inspection activities such as equipment installation, asset operations, loading, and shutting down.
- Serve as the primary contact for safety, health, and environmental aspects of HSE management systems, fostering communication with plant personnel.
- Revise purchasing standards to ensure safety codes compliance and adherence to the latest technology in equipment and materials.
Operations Safety
- Identify hazardous activities and mitigate risks while ensuring safe disposal of hazardous waste and toxic chemicals.
- Monitor safety, environmental, and health tools and equipment, such as personal protective equipment and spare parts for instruments.
- Recommend preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal operating conditions of safety equipment and installations.
- Contribute to developing plant safety programs and ensure safety materials, manuals, and publications are available.
- Prepare and update safety inspection checklists and schedules to assess plant facility hazards and corrective actions.
HSE Initiatives & Project Implementation
- Lead and participate in HSE studies, including HSE Impact Assessments, HAZOP, HAZID, Root Cause Analysis, and Risk Assessments.
- Audit and evaluate deployed projects and initiatives for sustainable development.
- Lead housekeeping and environmental initiatives to enhance the working environment in the plant.
HSE Training
- Assess training needs for HSE in the respective area and align training sessions with HSE management and technical teams.
- Facilitate HSE training programs and communications, and lead evacuation and drill exercises to ensure personnel readiness for emergencies.
- Communicate and educate personnel on HSE updates regarding policies, procedures, practices, and technology.
- Prepare analyses and reports for both routine and non-routine HSE activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering fields.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years as a Safety or HSE Engineer.
- Expertise in HSE project implementation, HSE inspections, conducting training, and HSE systems.
- Hands-on experience with Risk Assessment Studies including TRA, HAZID, HAZOPS, PSSR, and HSEIA.
