About the Role: Provide technical expertise on all engineering subject matters pertaining to Instrument/Control Engineering and design. Key responsibilities include: - Coordinate and interface with other Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations, and contractors/consultants to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Instrument & Control engineering design execution and integrity. - Prepare scope of work for external consultants and EPC contractors for job execution. - Review design works and studies performed by the Engineering Consultants to ensure compliance with technical requirements and standards. - Review and approve drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to Instrumentation and Controls Design works. - Perform calculations for design validation and optimization. - Ensure state-of-the-art technology is applied throughout the engineering phase for cost-effective solutions and value-added engineering throughout assigned works. - Provide input/update Engineering Procedures, Company standards, Technical Specifications, Design Philosophies, and Engineering Guidelines. - Provide technical assistance, coordination, and liaison with other discipline engineers within the Company and other business units to acquire technical and general requirements and manage interfaces. - Serve as in-house technical authority and specialized skills support for problem solving. - Conduct technical authority reviews and acceptance of vendor/supplier deviations or non-compliance requests to company specifications/standards submitted by the project PMC. Supervision: - Plan, supervise, and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. - Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable proficiency and delivery of respective section objectives. Budgets: - Provide input for the preparation of functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives. - Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures: - Implement approved Section/Department policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support execution of the Section’s/Department work programs in line with Company and international standards. Performance Management: - Contribute to the achievement of approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: - Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. - Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices to pursue greater efficiency in line with industry standards, defining intelligent solutions for functional issues. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability: - Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines following international standards, best practices, and the Company Code of Practices. Reports: - Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management. Minimum Qualification: Qualification & Experience: - Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation/Electronics/Control Engineering. - 8 years of experience in Instrumentation/Electronics/Control Engineering.
