In this role, you will be performing specific and moderate portions of broader engineering assignments under the guidance of experienced engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include gathering and correlating basic engineering data using established procedures, and working on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. You will be expected to propose approaches for solving new problems, identify discrepancies in results, and recommend corrective actions. As a mentor, you will provide guidance to entry-level engineers on technical concepts and best practices.

You will work independently to complete primary design elements for engineering projects, maintaining comprehensive technical documentation including design specifications and test reports. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as project managers and quality assurance specialists will be essential to ensure that project objectives are met. Additionally, you will conduct quality assurance reviews, oversee testing protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards, and troubleshoot complex instrumentation and control system issues, implementing solutions to optimize performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specific and moderate portions of broader engineering assignments.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests.
  • Propose solutions for new problems based on previous experiences.
  • Identify discrepancies in results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Complete primary design elements for engineering projects with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as design specs and test reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and oversee compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues to enhance performance.
  • Participate in design reviews, offering recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional engineering experience in instrumentation and control systems design, implementation, or maintenance.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing complex ICT and instrumentation systems.
  • Strong proficiency in developing technical documentation.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards applicable to instrumentation and control systems.
  • Ability to independently manage engineering assignments under budget and schedule constraints.
  • Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering design tools relevant to instrumentation and controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience with design review processes and quality assurance protocols.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of automation and control system platforms.
  • Experience in a regulated industry environment.
