The Senior Engineer - Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering plays a crucial role in the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of large-scale private cloud, virtualization, and observability platforms across the company's infrastructure. This hands-on role focuses on deploying, operating, troubleshooting, automating, and optimizing virtualization and observability platforms across both production and non-production environments.
Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Design and operate observability platforms and services, utilizing technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch.
- Contribute to the creation and management of private cloud and virtualization environments using platforms like OpenStack and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Develop and maintain AI-powered operational agents for incident detection and operational workflows.
- Collaborate across teams for technology evaluation and solution design.
- Support capacity planning, performance optimization, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure security compliance for all platforms in collaboration with security teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and prepare knowledge transfer sessions for teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical incident management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and managing virtualization and cloud environments.
- Strong experience with major cloud platforms (OpenStack, Proxmox, or Red Hat OpenShift).
- Proficiency in AI-assisted operations and observability platforms.
- Excellent Linux administration skills and understanding of data center networking.
- Experience in automation using tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Relevant certifications in areas such as Linux, virtualization, and ITSM are advantageous.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is expected.
