Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for Data Center projects.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and project managers for integrated mechanical systems.
- Manage a team of engineers to meet tight project deadlines.
- Mentor junior engineers on design standards and industry best practices.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis for optimizing mechanical systems' performance and energy efficiency.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess mechanical system installations and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
- Assist in evaluating and selecting mechanical equipment and components for Data Center projects.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Data Center mechanical design.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineering license (PE) is preferred.
- 5+ years of solid experience in mechanical design and engineering, specifically in Data Center projects or similar mission-critical facilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Preference for candidates who can demonstrate a complete ability to develop and use CFD modeling tools for the early design phase.
