The role involves maintaining, operating, and hardening essential IT network operations, including a variety of network devices such as Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches/routers, wireless controllers, and various security tools including PaloAlto, Fortinet firewalls, Forescout NAC, Cisco ISE, and F5 WAF. You will implement, operate, support, and maintain the Information Security Management System based on ISO/IEC 27000 series standards, including obtaining certification against ISO/IEC 27001. Responsibilities
- Monitor datacenter health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new network devices as needed.
- Maintain internal network requirements, which include Cisco switches/routers, firewalls, web application firewalls, wireless LAN controllers, access points, and perform necessary security updates. Support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Conduct routine/scheduled audits of systems, which encompass backups, patching, hardening, and more.
- Implement, operate, support, and maintain the Information Security Management System based on ISO/IEC 27000 series standards, targeting certification against ISO/IEC 27001.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and best practice security configurations.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and successful execution of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the company's security team to select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
- 8-10 years of operational experience in IT network and security management.
- Proficient in VLAN, DHCP, SECURITY, ROUTING, IPSEC VPNs, NAT/PAT, Proxy, F5 WAF, etc.
- Knowledgeable in IT policies and procedures, technology standards, and possess familiarity with cyber security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls ®, and MITRE ATT&CK ®.
- Experienced in documenting internal networks and managing tickets.
- Skilled in securing and hardening infrastructure, including systems, networks, endpoints, SaaS integrations, and cloud resources.
- Working knowledge of common information security management frameworks, particularly ISO27001.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus, ASA, PaloAlto, Fortinet firewall, and F5 (LTM & ASM).
- Strong experience with LAN/WAN troubleshooting, design, and implementation.
- Familiar with reviewing and deploying vendor updates for security patches.
- Knowledge of Cisco wireless technologies (WLC/Access points) and ISE.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP and ISO 27001:2013 certification is a must.
- PCNSA/PCNSE and F5 301/303 certification are highly desirable.
- Additional security and network certifications would be advantageous.
