Senior Engineer - Network Testing

In the role of Senior Engineer – Network Testing, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests for early product prototypes, developing and implementing testing pipelines based on customer use cases, and providing support to other team members to ensure compliance with time-frame, quality, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop testing pipelines; evaluate early prototypes to meet performance specifications.
• Define test cases based on customer use cases and ensure comprehensive testing of all developed customer requirements.
• Perform functional and unit testing and provide feedback to developers and architects.
• Conduct throughput, latency, and packet loss stress tests for L2/L3 networking features.
• Evaluate feature behavior under variable networking conditions.
• Set up tests using network emulators, traffic generators, packet captures, and network simulators.
• Produce clear and concise test reports and recommendations for prototype improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and share testing outputs with relevant stakeholders.
• Support testing and troubleshooting activities of networking features deployed on modems and other networking products.
• Ensure testing compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to network connectivity and internetworking.

Education and Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in networking, testing, and troubleshooting.

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, Linux networking, C/C++, and Python.
• Experience with testing tools, network emulators, simulators, and testing pipelines.
• Proficiency in using networking test equipment, such as traffic generators, modems, routers, and network analyzers.
• Experience conducting comprehensive testing plans and preparing testing reports.
• Familiarity with testing networking topologies and operational features within network topology.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
