Senior Engineer - Plumbing

About the Role
A reputed Civil & MEP Contracting Company in the UAE is seeking an experienced Plumbing Engineer to lead execution on ongoing building and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and public-health engineering, ensuring compliance with local codes and overseeing project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of plumbing, water supply, drainage, storm water, and pump-room works
• Review plumbing shop drawings, calculations, and material submittals
• Plan manpower, materials, and sequence of plumbing works to meet project timelines
• Coordinate with consultants, authorities, and other MEP trades for approvals and inspections
• Supervise pressure testing, flushing, commissioning, and final handover
• Ensure works comply with specifications, local codes (DM/DEWA), and HSE standards
• Guide site engineers, foremen, and chargehands on-site

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of plumbing and public-health engineering experience in building projects; GCC experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes (IPC/UPC), drainage systems, and pump selection
• Experience with high-rise residential/commercial projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office
• UAE driving licence and Society of Engineers registration preferred
