Position

Assess existing systems (ICS, DCS, Process Control Systems, and Real-Time Plant Information and Laboratory Management Systems) for obsolescence, spare parts availability, vendor support, interoperability, and integration to ensure safe and reliable operations according to the company and International standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Auditing system performance and identifying opportunities for process monitoring and improvements.
  • Supporting the development and updating of technical specification documents and conducting economic feasibility studies for application viability.
  • Developing system functional specifications, design & as-built documentation, user manuals, and training materials for modifications in existing applications, coordinating with site maintenance for vendor support, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Providing technical and engineering expertise in Real-time Process Information Management Systems and Laboratory Information Management Systems.
  • Offering operational, technical, and engineering expertise in Optimization, Alarm Management, Control Loop Performance Monitoring, and higher-level MES applications.
  • Developing scopes of work, tender documents, and participating in technical bid evaluations to meet system requirements.
  • Coordinating and participating in the implementation of approved projects, including installation and commissioning, ensuring timely completion within budget.

Supervisory responsibilities include planning, supervising, and coordinating activities in the assigned area to meet objectives, as well as training and developing staff.

Input for functional budgets and assistance in budget implementation for performance and cost control is required.

Implementation of approved policies, processes, systems, and procedures is essential to support execution of Section work programs.

Contribute to the achievement of Performance Objectives aligned with the company Performance framework and design new tools to enhance operational processes.

Comply with HSE policies, procedures, and applicable legislation in line with international standards and sustainability guidelines.

Prepare Section MIS and progress reports for company management.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation Engineering or equivalent, along with 8 years of experience in automation systems design, installation, commissioning, operations, continuing maintenance, testing, and CS validation within a large industrial organization.
