About the Role:
This role involves assessing existing systems such as ICS, DCS, Process Control Systems, and Real-Time Plant Information and Laboratory Management Systems for obsolescence and operational reliability. You will conduct audits, identify opportunities for performance monitoring and improvements, and ensure compliance with the company and International standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Assess existing systems on obsolescence, spare parts availability, vendor support, and interoperability.
- Audit system performance and identify process performance monitoring opportunities.
- Support the development and updating of technical specification documents and conduct economic feasibility studies.
- Develop functional specifications, design documentation, user manuals, and training materials for minor modifications.
- Provide technical and engineering expertise to plants in real-time process information management and laboratory information management.
- Offer operational expertise in optimization, alarm management, and control loop performance monitoring.
- Develop scope of work and participate in technical bid evaluations to meet systems requirements.
- Coordinate and participate in the implementation of approved projects ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.

Supervision:
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities within the assigned area to meet objectives.
- Train and develop assigned staff to improve proficiency and deliver section objectives.
Budgets:
- Contribute to the preparation of functional budgets and assist in implementing approved budgets and work plans.
- Investigate significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
- Implement Section/Department policies, processes, systems, and standards to support work program execution in line with the company and International standards.
Performance Management:
- Contribute to achieving approved performance objectives for the function in accordance with the company performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to enhance the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify process improvements based on best practices to drive efficiency.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability:
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, and legislation, and adhere to sustainability guidelines according to international standards and best practices.
Reports:
- Provide inputs for the preparation of Section MIS and progress reports for company management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8 years of experience in design, installation, commissioning, operations, maintenance, testing, and CS validation related to automation systems within a large industrial organization.
