Job Specific Accountabilities
- Prepare programs for rigless operations, including perforation, kick-off operations, stimulation, and well testing to be executed by service companies.
- Develop programs for various well tests, such as multi-rate production/injection tests and isochronal/modified isochronal tests. Coordinate and supervise testing operations while conducting preliminary interpretation and evaluation of test results.
- Oversee and supervise all wireline work performed by contractors. Verify various reports and forward them to Asset Development for further review and action.
- Supervise production logging activities and conduct preliminary log interpretation and evaluation of test results.
- Monitor the performance of oil and gas production wells, as well as water injection wells. Investigate and diagnose well issues, proposing necessary actions. Provide recommendations for workovers on specific wells with detailed prognosis and justification.
- Coordinate and supervise downhole equipment testing and maintenance activities.
- Review and evaluate the performance of water injection clusters, engaging with concerned engineers from other departments regarding long-term injection tests.
- Monitor and discuss the performance of installed production equipment.
- Participate in technical studies related to water/gas injection and artificial lift projects, as well as optimization or modification of oil and gas operations and facilities.
- Maintain a comprehensive database on well history, oil and gas production, water production/injection, and gas injection statistics.
- Contribute to the development of operating, reporting, and recording procedures for oil, gas, and water production/injection performance.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 8 years of experience in Petroleum Engineering, encompassing workover, completion, well testing, and production operations.
