Key Responsibilities
- Prepare programs for rigless operations, perforation, kick-off operations, stimulation, and well testing to be executed by service companies.
- Develop programs for various well tests, such as multi-rate production/injection tests and isochronal/modified isochronal tests. Coordinate, supervise testing operations, and perform preliminary interpretation and evaluation of test results.
- Monitor and supervise all wireline work conducted by contractors. Verify various reports and forward them to Asset Development for further assessment and action.
- Supervise production logging and carry out initial log interpretation and evaluation of test outcomes.
- Monitor performance of oil/gas producing and water injection wells. Investigate and diagnose well issues, propose necessary actions, and recommend workovers for specific wells, providing prognosis and justification for each workover.
- Coordinate and supervise downhole equipment testing and maintenance activities.
- Review and assess water injection cluster performance and engage in discussions regarding long-term injection tests with relevant engineers from other departments.
- Monitor and discuss the performance of installed production equipment.
- Engage in technical studies related to water/gas injection, artificial lift projects, oil and gas operations, and facilities optimization or modification as assigned.
- Maintain a comprehensive database on well history, including oil/gas production, water production/injection, and gas injection statistics.
- Participate in the development of operating, reporting, and recording procedures for oil, gas, and water production/injection performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Petroleum Engineering, encompassing workover, completion, well testing, and production operations.
