About the Role: Provides expertise for the development and implementation of Quality Management requirements on assigned projects. Ensures that the project quality systems meet the requirements of ISO 9000 series and company policies to achieve compliance with agreement, technical integrity and fit for purpose in overall engineering, materials, equipment and constructions. - Reviews and develops quality specific requirements to be assured by contractors and PMC during design, development, construction and commissioning to prevent non-conformity at all stages of the project. - Reviews contractors’ QA/QC plans and procedures as well as inspection, testing procedures, and plans to ensure the compatibility of the design and construction with company requirements. - Monitors implementation of QA/QC activities throughout the project phases to initiate preventive action and apply effective control. - Participates in developing company strategy related to vendor and field inspection and the selection of TPI agency to ensure that the quality of critical equipment and materials are within company-specified acceptance criteria. - Reviews and monitors the performance of PMC control on TPI agencies and prepares feedback on areas of concern for appropriate remedial action to ensure the adequacy of utilization and control of TPI resources. - Handles technical and compliance audits, PMT/audit teams, and arranges interviews and visits for physical verification to ensure that the company quality requirements are established, implemented, and evaluated. - Reviews contractors’ internal/external audit programs. Participates in contractors' audits and provides an independent assessment of audit effectiveness. Supervision - Plans, supervises, and coordinates all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. - Trains and develops the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives. Budgets - Provides input for the preparation of the Department/Section budgets and assists in the implementation of the approved budget and work plans to deliver section objectives. - Investigates and highlights any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures - Implements approved Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support the execution of the Department/Section’s work programs in line with company and international standards. - Complies with all applicable legislation and legal regulations. Performance Management - Contributes to the achievement of the approved performance objectives for the Department/Section in line with the company performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement - Designs and implements new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. - Identifies improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability - Complies with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices, and company Code of Practices. Reports - Provides inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management. Minimum Qualification: Qualification & Experience: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Civil or equivalent Engineering Discipline. 6 years of experience, including experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).
