The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality and usability. This role involves developing and supporting the planning, design, and execution of test plans, test scripts, and process plans for projects. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to perform and validate test cases based on quality requirements and recommend changes to predetermined quality guidelines, ensuring that the product meets minimum quality standards, is fully functional, and user-friendly.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software products.
- Identify and document defects and collaborate with development teams to resolve them.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that defects are fixed and new functionality has not introduced new issues.
- Conduct functional and performance testing to meet user requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and customer support, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
- Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies and integrate them into our testing process.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Experience with load and performance testing tools.
- Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in manual testing methodologies and tools such as JIRA or similar.
- Experience with testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
- Good understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
