Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product and development teams to understand requirements, technical details, and design effective test strategies.
- Design automation frameworks, write automation test cases, execute tests, and maintain test pipelines.
- Conduct QA activities for platform services with a working knowledge of cloud infrastructure.
- Manage test efforts to ensure timely delivery under tight deadlines.
- Actively participate in all agile ceremonies and estimate effort effectively.
- Debug issues within microservice architecture, performing error and bug analysis.
- Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications / Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or advanced certifications preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in software test engineering and test automation, including CI/CD.
- Experience in testing web applications, backend APIs, and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks, preferably Playwright with Python; experience with Selenium/Appium is also applicable.
- Experience with Python-based test frameworks such as PyTest.
- Hands-on experience writing shell scripts and familiarity with cloud DevOps skills.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Postman, QMetry) and able to query databases using SQL.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Functional knowledge of API testing tools like POSTMAN or similar.
- Experience with test management tools like Zephyr, QMetry, or HP Quality Center.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Understanding of performance engineering and monitoring technologies.
