Responsibilities
Security Monitoring and Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs from various security systems and tools to identify suspicious activities.
  • Investigate and remediate security alerts and security incidents.
  • Correlate and analyze security data to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential threats.

Security Tools Management

  • Maintain and configure security tools and platforms, including SIEM, NDR, Email Security, and EDR solutions.
  • Implement new security tools and technologies to enhance the organization's cybersecurity capabilities.

Threat Intelligence

  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
  • Apply threat intelligence across various security solutions and technologies to improve detection and incident response capabilities.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Develop and prepare monthly security reports.
  • Prepare detailed security incident reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, investigations, and remediation activities.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with security team members and IT personnel to share information, best practices, and security insights.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Security Analysts (L1) as required.

Qualifications
Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Security Analyst role, with a focus on security monitoring and incident response.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, NDR, and Email Security solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of security incident detection, analysis, investigation, and response.
  • Good understanding of network protocols, operating systems, cybersecurity threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications (e.g., SANS) are an advantage.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience working within the Middle East region.
  • Experience working with a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) or Managed Services Provider (MSP).
