Responsibilities:

  • Capturing system requirements by identifying needs from end users, businesses, operations, and other stakeholders, and transforming them into system requirements and CONOPS documents.
  • Contributing to system architecture trade-off analysis and defining system-level interfaces requirement documents.
  • Supporting the development of specifications for space segment and ground segment procurement processes.
  • Assisting in the review and assessment of proposals for RFPs across the Engineering Division.
  • Analyzing end-to-end system performances including link throughput, capacity, availability, and latency for GEO and LEO satcom systems.
  • Maintaining a database with up-to-date information regarding satellites, user terminals, modems, and waveforms.
  • Contributing to system integration and validation strategies, test plan definitions, and executing system test procedures.
  • Engaging with third-party vendors and internal teams to enhance the company's GEO and LEO space network solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5-8+ years of technical experience in the satellite communications industry.
  • Proficiency in capturing and defining system/sub-system requirements and executing integration and acceptance tests.
  • In-depth understanding of satellite communications in space and ground/service segments.
  • Experience in GEO or LEO Satcom end-to-end system performance analysis and link budget analysis.
  • Familiarity with software development and simulation tools; knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to leverage computational systems.
