As a Senior Engineer (Systems Engineering), you will hold overall technical authority and responsibility for the technical performance of a product system or system-element throughout its life cycle. Your role will involve executing technical processes, including mission analysis, requirements definition, architectural definition, verification, and validation.
Key Accountabilities
- Take overall technical responsibility for system performance throughout its life cycle.
- Perform mission analysis, develop requirements, and conduct architectural definitions.
- Oversee technical management processes including planning, decision management, risk management, and information management.
- Generate systems engineering outputs such as User Requirements Specifications and Development Specifications.
- Prepare System Engineering Management Plans and Test and Evaluation Master Plans.
- Conduct technical trade-off analysis, prepare Qualification Plans and Reports, and propose improvements in company procedures.
- Manage interface between system-elements to ensure successful integration and support verification and validation activities.
- Implement Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) within projects.
- Review and approve technical documentation generated by team members, and provide coaching and guidance.
Knowledge/Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience; a Master's degree with 7 to 10 years; or a Doctorate with 6 to 9 years.
- Experience in systems engineering within the defense industry.
- Familiarity with the implementation and use of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) is desirable.
- Knowledge of military standards and specifications is preferred.
- Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification from INCOSE or equivalent is a plus.
