Senior Field Service Engineer GIS Specialist

About the Job:
The Senior Field Service Engineer GIS Specialist role at the company is primarily focused on the performance of aftermarket services and support for the installed base, as well as maintenance services for High Voltage Products (GIS, LTB, AIS, GCB & Power Quality) for utilities and contractors in the UAE. The responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, warranty repairs on High Voltage Products, and commissioning activities. Additionally, the role requires the development and implementation of proactive services responsive to customer requirements, and coordination of investigations into customer-reported issues to deliver equitable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide installation, commissioning, and maintenance services independently.
• Offer on-site or remote technical support for GIS, LTB, AIS & Power Quality Solutions and routine maintenance services.
• Ensure accident prevention measures are followed, particularly when working on live system components.
• Supervise adherence to safety and industry practices, and foster strong customer relationships to provide specialist support and solutions.
• Recommend immediate and future service requirements to customers and provide feedback to the Service Sales team.
• Act as a representative of the OEM, preparing tools, equipment, and parts for service jobs, and managing all necessary documentation.
• Create service reports, time sheets, and delivery notes, and act as the voice of the customer to internal engineering and quality functions.
• Manage multifunctional interfaces effectively and demonstrate personal leadership while maintaining teamwork.
• Update the installed base in the IB Analyzer (approved service database) with changes made at site.
• Establish long-term customer relationships by addressing their requirements and applicable regulations.

Your Background:

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with 6 to 8 years specifically in High Voltage Products or Equipment (GIS, LTB, AIS) installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in computer usage along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Relevant experience in Transmission GIS Installation and Commissioning, Substation Services, and Preventive Maintenance is an advantage.
• Strong team player capable of networking and building relationships.
• Highly focused on meeting customer service and quality standards.
• Factory Certification in making GIS at the company is a plus.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
