Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in planning and execution of installation and commissioning activities on-site.
- Execute design modifications and provide annotations for as-built project documentation.
- Independently carry out installation & commissioning, including HV PD and maintenance services.
- Provide on-site or remote technical support for GIS installation and routine maintenance services.
- Take part in pre-commissioning meetings, commissioning planning activities, and documentation preparation (e.g., FAT documentation, Site ITPs & ITRs, Method Statements).
- Support tendering by providing commissioning plans and time/cost estimations.
- Act as a representative of the OEM, preparing tools, equipment, and parts needed for service jobs.
- Ensure job documentation is available and brief relevant personnel about site expectations.
- Create service reports, time sheets & delivery notes endorsed by customers.
- Manage multifunctional interfaces internally and maintain a teamwork environment.
- Adhere to quality assurance requirements and seek continual improvement.
Your Background:
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in an engineering discipline is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of overall experience, including 6–8 years hands-on work with High Voltage (HV) Products or Equipment such as GIS 132kV, 220kV, and above.
- Strong competence in testing and commissioning of switchgears and substation components/apparatus.
- Broad experience across substation projects, including tendering, engineering, or site commissioning activities.
- Proficiency in computer applications with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Certification related to the company Transmission GIS is an added advantage.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
