The work model for the role is Onsite. This position contributes to the Automation Energy Industries division in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with main stakeholders including customers, contractors, suppliers, project managers, and engineering colleagues within the company.
Your Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations and ensuring customer retention by delivering a superior customer experience.
- Performing complex field service tasks, identifying and resolving high-level technical problems, and making analyses through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which you are certified. Moreover, providing advice and recommendations both internally and to customers within your area of expertise.
- Planning and preparing site work for larger project teams and managing related subcontractors at the site, coaching technicians and engineers, and supervising complex site activities.
- Identifying improvement needs and potential solutions in the way of working and the products in question, driving improvement actions in your area of responsibility, and identifying new service business opportunities for the company, in close cooperation with customers and other teams.
Qualifications for the Role
- Hands-on and extensive field services experience in the Automation industry is a must-have for the role.
- You are highly skilled in the company 800xA with AC800M/Symphony Plus (S+) systems and have experience working with and maintaining DCS systems, especially in the Power & Water and Oil & Gas markets.
- You have over 8 years of experience in the automation service field, specifically in company DCS.
- Proficiency in industrial communication protocols like Modbus, Profibus, OPC, IEC 101, IEC 104, and IEC 61850, between company automation systems and external systems or field devices as applicable.
- Possess enhanced knowledge of the company 800xA with AC 800M, PGIM/S+ Historian, company Utility Library, and industrial networking and cybersecurity solutions for control systems.
- You are passionate about customer collaboration and have good communication skills.
- A degree in Engineering with demonstrated expertise in automation systems and process applications across the Power & Water and Oil & Gas industries is required.
- Comfortable communicating in English with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
