In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and guidelines for Distributed Control Systems with expertise in 800xA with AC 800M, S+ and/or other control systems. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers and identify opportunities in the installed base to improve system performance and operational effectiveness. This role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and contributes to the Automation Energy Industries division, engaging stakeholders such as customers, contractors, suppliers, project managers, and engineering colleagues.

Your Role And Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations, ensuring customer retention through superior customer experience.
- Performing complex field service tasks, identifying and resolving high-level technical problems, analyzing issues through remote or on-site activity, and providing advice and recommendations both internally and to customers within your expertise.
- Planning and preparing site work for larger project teams while managing related subcontractors at the site, coaching technicians and engineers, and supervising complex site activities.
- Identifying improvement needs and potential solutions in work processes and products, driving improvement actions in your area of responsibility.
- Taking action to identify new service business opportunities, collaborating closely with customers and other teams.
Qualifications For The Role
- Hands-on and extensive field service experience in the automation industry is a must-have.
- High proficiency in the company 800xA with AC800M / Symphony Plus (S+) systems is required, along with experience in working with and maintaining DCS systems, particularly in the Power & Water and Oil & Gas sectors.
- Over 8 years of experience in the automation service field, specifically with the company DCS.
- Proficiency in industrial communication protocols including Modbus, Profibus, OPC, IEC 101, IEC 104, and IEC 61850, as applicable between the company automation systems and external systems or field devices.
- Enhanced knowledge of the company 800xA with AC 800M, PGIM/S+ Historian, the company Utility Library, and industrial networking and cybersecurity solutions for control systems.
- Strong passion for customer collaboration and effective communication skills.
- Degree in Engineering with demonstrated expertise in automation systems and process applications across Power & Water and Oil & Gas industries.
- Fluent communication in English with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
