In the position of Senior Field Service Engineer, you will execute service work of medium to high complexity in accordance with ABB guidelines for Distributed Control Systems, Safety Systems, and Substation Automation Systems, specifically with expertise in 800xA, AC 800M, ABB Infi90/S+, and other ABB Control Systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute service work according to customer orders and expectations, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Perform complex field service tasks, troubleshoot high-level technical issues, and offer recommendations based on your expertise.
- Prepare and manage site work for larger project teams and supervise subcontractors.
- Identify improvement needs within current processes and products, driving initiatives for enhancement.
- Recognize new service business opportunities in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in field services within the Automation industry is essential.
- Proficiency with ABB 800xA systems, AC800M, and experience with ICSS and/or PMS/SCMS systems in Oil & Gas and Power & Water sectors.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the automation field, particularly with ABB control systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols including IEC 61850, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, IEC 101, and IEC 104.
- A degree in Engineering with demonstrated expertise in automation systems and process applications relevant to the industry.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English proficiency for effective interaction with customers and stakeholders.
