About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious IT SOX/Internal Auditor to join our Global SOX Team in Dubai. This role will assess IT control design and test operating effectiveness across the company’s in-scope key financial systems and applications. The Senior Finance Analyst will support SOX 404 testing for IT controls and related projects under manager direction, including understanding complex IT processes and control areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Review walkthrough documentation, test control effectiveness, meet control owners, and report identified issues.
- Support IT controls meetings with control owners, external auditors, and SOX team members.
- Document test results in company workpaper templates for SOX team and external auditor review.
- Assess control exceptions with management, communicate issues, and support remediation action plans.
- Communicate clearly with control owners, IT teams, auditors, and SOX stakeholders.
- Contribute to planning and executing the annual IT SOX program.
- Support non-SOX project execution and documentation as needed.
- Manage day-to-day control-related interactions with external auditors.
The company requires at least 4 days in office; expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree such as a Master’s or MBA.
- ACCA, CISA, or other relevant qualification preferred.
Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and issue/risk resolution.
- Ability to identify opportunities to strengthen standards, controls, and practical solutions.
- Proven ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency and deliver measurable results.
Communication:
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with messaging tailored to the audience.
- Ability to clearly explain control assessments to internal and external stakeholders.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong collaborator with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, conscientious, and highly accountable team player.
- Ability to recommend practical solutions that reduce risk.
Project Management:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various AI tools.
