Senior Front-End Developer

About the Job:
The Senior Front-End Developer will write front-end code to deliver innovative digital products and contribute across the technology stack, covering the end-to-end development of web and native applications.

Role Purpose:
To deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance the client organization’s technology stack using Agile practices and modern development technologies.

Key Accountabilities of the Role:

• Use Agile engineering practices and various software development technologies to rapidly develop creative and efficient solutions.
• Write scalable code along with associated server API tests.
• Collaborate with team members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously deliver new/improved product functionality.
• Determine when mobile web apps are appropriate as opposed to native applications.
• Communicate with internal IT teams to resolve technical dependencies during implementation.
• Build the client organization’s brand in the technology community.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required:

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular2/4, React, Ember.js).
• Competency with styling frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation, Semantic) and familiarity with SASS and Less.
• Knowledge of consuming RESTful APIs, SSO/OAuth, LDAP, and search technologies.
• Basic design principles knowledge, focusing on user-friendly interfaces.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

Previous Experience:

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in writing automated tests, including unit and functional tests.
• Familiarity with modern source control and branching methodologies.
• Relevant technology diploma/degree.
