Role Purpose:
To deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance the client organization’s technology stack using Agile practices and modern development technologies.
Key Accountabilities of the Role:
- Use Agile engineering practices and various software development technologies to rapidly develop creative and efficient solutions.
- Write scalable code along with associated server API tests.
- Collaborate with team members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously deliver new/improved product functionality.
- Determine when mobile web apps are appropriate as opposed to native applications.
- Communicate with internal IT teams to resolve technical dependencies during implementation.
- Build the client organization’s brand in the technology community.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required:
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular2/4, React, Ember.js).
- Competency with styling frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation, Semantic) and familiarity with SASS and Less.
- Knowledge of consuming RESTful APIs, SSO/OAuth, LDAP, and search technologies.
- Basic design principles knowledge, focusing on user-friendly interfaces.
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
Previous Experience:
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Experience in writing automated tests, including unit and functional tests.
- Familiarity with modern source control and branching methodologies.
- Relevant technology diploma/degree.
