As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Software Engineers to develop user interfaces and front-end deliverables for information management applications within a Big Data analytics system.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain complex, high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript).
- Contribute to frontend architecture and establish best practices for scalable, maintainable, and testable codebases.
- Work with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into responsive interfaces.
- Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs for smooth data flow.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and accessibility.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship.
- Monitor and mitigate web vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF).
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies and frameworks.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and code quality initiatives.
- Collaborate in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) for sprint planning and task definition.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Experience with GIS-related libraries (e.g., Mapbox, Cesium).
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux, MobX).
- Experience with frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g. Jest) and CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency with Git and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ideal Additional Skills:
- Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks.
- Understanding of frontend performance profiling and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, MUI, Tailwind).
