Role Purpose:
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building user interfaces and front-end deliverables. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Software Engineers to enhance functionalities of our information management applications as part of a Big Data analytic system.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain complex, high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript).
- Establish best practices for scalable, maintainable, and testable frontend architecture.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to turn wireframes and prototypes into user-friendly interfaces.
- Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to ensure smooth data flow.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to the team.
- Monitor and mitigate common web vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies and frameworks.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and code quality initiatives.
- Collaborate in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Experience with GIS-related libraries (e.g., Mapbox, Cesium).
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux, MobX) and frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
- Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL, and real-time data (WebSockets).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g. Jest), Git, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ideally, You Should Have:
- Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks.
- Understanding of frontend performance profiling and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, MUI, Tailwind).
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs.
