The Opportunity:
We are looking for a seasoned and creative Senior Frontend Engineer to design and build frontend applications by implementing visual elements in web applications. The role involves translating UI/UX design wireframes into programming language to deliver innovative frontend engineering solutions that are stable, high-performing, secure, accessible, and profitable for Presight’s customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to architectural guidelines.
- Develop responsive applications by writing clean, tested, modular, and well-documented code.
- Enhance user experience through optimal solutions, ensuring speed, scalability, and feasibility.
- Document software deliverables and assist in story creation, user acceptance criteria, QA, and end-to-end testing.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of systems flow and establish coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Partner with teams for function integration and define necessary system enhancements for new products and process improvements.
- Participate in design and architecture reviews, offering recommendations for enhancements.
- Understand complex business requirements and deliver innovative technical solutions.
- Comply with QHSE, Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in front-end web development.
- At least 4 years of experience building robust web applications in an AI service organization or analytics industry.
- Strong knowledge of computer science principles and algorithms, with 4+ years coding in Vanilla JavaScript.
- Expert knowledge in HTML5/CSS3, modern web standards, and modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience in building single-page applications with React or other component-based frameworks.
- Strong understanding of state management using MobX or Redux.
- Experience with media operations in browsers (Canvas, Audio, and Video APIs).
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.) and RESTful API design.
- Proficient with code versioning tools, such as Git.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with popular UI component libraries (ideally Mantine).
- Familiarity with WebGL/Web Assembly and DevOps tasks like CI/CD.
- Experience in cloud infrastructure and reliability engineering.
- Passion for the latest developments in front-end programming and a creative mindset.
