Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive and visually appealing web interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and frontend architecture.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate complex user needs into functional and interactive experiences.
- Drive performance optimization for speed, scalability, and accessibility across browsers and devices.
- Integrate frontend components with backend APIs and ensure reliability of end-to-end functionality.
- Champion continuous improvement by adopting new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve development efficiency and product performance.
- Establish and maintain coding standards, reusable component libraries, and design system integration.
- Support ongoing UI/UX enhancements based on user feedback, analytics, and research.
- Work within an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to planning, estimation, and delivery.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Expertise in React or similar modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, design systems, and component-based UI development.
- Proven track record of optimizing web applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility.
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git), RESTful APIs, and modern build tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building and scaling enterprise-grade applications.
- Exposure to server-side rendering frameworks such as Next.js.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Experience with design collaboration tools (e.g., Figma) and stakeholder alignment.
- Previous experience contributing to open-source projects or internal frameworks.
