As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Software Engineers to build user interfaces and improve functionalities for information management applications within a Big Data analytic system.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript).
- Contribute to frontend architecture and establish best practices for scalable, maintainable, and testable codebases.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces from wireframes and prototypes.
- Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to ensure smooth data flow between frontend and backend.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and accessibility.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship.
- Monitor and mitigate web vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF, clickjacking).
- Stay current with emerging web technologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and code quality initiatives.
- Collaborate in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) to plan sprints, define tasks, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Experience with GIS-related libraries (e.g., Mapbox, Cesium) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux, MobX) and frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and real-time data (WebSockets).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest) and proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ideal Skills:
- Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks.
- Understanding of frontend performance profiling and accessibility (WCAG) standards.
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, MUI, Tailwind).
