Senior GCS Software Engineer

About the Role
As a Principal Software Engineer focusing on Ground Control Station (GCS) systems, you will play a pivotal role in the development and integration of cutting-edge technology within high-impact UAV programs. This position offers an opportunity to work on critical aerospace projects with a focus on advanced software solutions in the aerospace and defense sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for Ground Control Station systems.
• Integrate software with flight control systems to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to facilitate hardware/software integration.
• Ensure compliance with safety-critical standards, particularly DO-178C.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to testing and validation.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in Embedded Software Development.
• Expert in C/C++.
• Proven experience with Ground Control Station software.
• Familiarity with Flight Control Systems (FCS).
• Experience in hardware/software integration.
• Working knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, etc.
• Background in aerospace, UAV, or defense preferred.
• Exposure to safety-critical software development is preferred (DO-178C experience is a plus).
