Job Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain GIS applications to support geospatial data and intelligence products.
- Ensure GIS applications are optimized and user-friendly while meeting applicable geospatial data standards and policies.
- Collaborate with other geospatial specialists to integrate GIS applications into geospatial products.
- Apply analytical and programming skills to develop optimal GIS applications.
- Monitor GIS application development processes to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of GIS applications development platforms and tools.
- Work independently, planning and organizing the team’s activities effectively.
Recruitment Specification:
- Extensive experience in GIS applications development roles.
- Ideally a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certificate in GIS.
- Strong knowledge of GIS application development principles and technologies.
- Familiarity with data management and database systems.
- Knowledge of geospatial data standards and policies.
- Strong analytical and programming skills.
- Experience in developing GIS applications for various platforms, including desktop, web, and mobile.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.
- Experience using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, QGIS, GeoServer, Python, R, SQL, and JavaScript.
