Job Description:
The company is looking for an amazingly talented Senior GIS Specialist to join our team! This role utilizes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) principles, techniques, and analyses to complete a wide variety of difficult and complex assignments. You will create, maintain, update, and review GIS databases in support of various projects, producing detailed maps that provide spatial analysis to inform decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, review, and execution of GIS implementation/management plans.
- Create and maintain digital maps for various projects using GIS capabilities.
- Conduct effective data analysis, input, and data cleansing to uncover patterns and insights in geospatial data.
- Apply geoprocessing techniques to manipulate and analyze geospatial data.
- Define topology rules to enforce data integrity and accuracy.
- Advance data completeness for reliable spatial analysis and decision-making.
- Perform basic and advanced editing and digitization of geospatial data.
- Develop custom GIS applications to support spatial problem-solving.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members and junior staff.
- Collaborate with project teams to lead spatial data analysis for decision-making.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, data management, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in GIS on large-scale projects and infrastructure projects.
- GIS-related certification is preferred.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working closely with Master Planning and Landscape teams.
- Familiarity with technical GIS workflows and systems, including CAD, BIM, and MicroStation.
- International work experience is a plus, with a preference for experience in Saudi Arabia.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is beneficial.
