What You'll Be Doing
- Updating, maintaining, and enhancing geospatial databases to ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide spatial data, analysis, and insights that support effective decision-making.
- Creating, reviewing, and maintaining digital GIS maps for various project needs.
- Developing custom GIS applications and tools to solve identified spatial problems.
- Assisting in the installation, configuration, and management of enterprise GIS portals and server environments.
- Supporting the preparation and execution of GIS implementation and management plans at program and project levels.
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong understanding of GIS fundamentals and proficiency in GIS software/database packages.
- Knowledge of QA/QC practices, geoprocessing techniques, and data management standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in geospatial contexts.
- Ability to design, manage, and implement spatial databases and data model structures.
- Skilled in web services, mobile GIS applications, and the ability to automate tasks using Python or similar languages.
Desired Skills
- GIS-related professional certification (e.g., GISP, Esri certifications).
- Experience mentoring and guiding lower-level GIS team members.
- Familiarity with DM / RTA / DEWA requirements is considered an advantage.
