Senior Hardware Design Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop hardware architectures for Engine Control Units (ECUs).
• Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal control hardware circuits.
• Design DSP-, MCU-, and MPU-based control boards.
• Design low-power supply and voltage regulation circuits.
• Define and manage interfaces between system components, sensors, and actuators.
• Perform schematic design and PCB layout activities.
• Perform simulation, analysis, and design verification activities.
• Perform hardware low-level, functional, and integration testing.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical test reports.
• Design hardware in accordance with EMC/EMI and environmental qualification requirements.
• Plan and support environmental qualification testing activities.
• Develop and maintain hardware development and certification processes.
• Work in coordination with systems, software, test, quality, and certification teams.
• Support debugging, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities throughout prototype and product development phases.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in embedded and/or control hardware design.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience with DSP-, MCU-, and MPU-based board design.
• Experience with schematic design and PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer, Mentor PADS, or equivalent.
• Experience with EMC/EMI-aware hardware design practices.
• Familiarity with environmental and electromagnetic qualification standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, RTCA/DO-160.
• Knowledge of RTCA/DO-254 and requirements traceability practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with power electronics and motor-drive hardware, including inverter/bridge stages and gate drivers.
• Experience designing hardware for electrical machines such as PMSM, BLDC, and brushed DC (BDC) motors.
• Familiarity with electrical power-generation systems, including generator and Generator Control Unit (GCU) hardware.
• Experience with current and voltage sensing, signal conditioning, and isolation techniques.
• Knowledge of thermal design, power dissipation analysis, and component derating for power electronic circuits.
