Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute advanced hardware security evaluations, including side-channel attacks (CPA, DPA, EM, TVLA) and fault injection techniques (voltage glitching, EMFI, laser fault injection).
  • Architect and implement custom test benches, toolchains, and automation frameworks for hardware attacks and secure system assessments.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of cryptographic implementations, secure boot processes, and embedded firmware across various microcontroller and SoC platforms.
  • Contribute to the design and review of secure embedded systems, including secure boot, hardware root of trust, cryptographic modules, and TRNG/PRNG implementations.
  • Participate in the reverse engineering of hardware and firmware for vulnerability discovery.
  • Deliver clear, well-documented technical reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in hardware or embedded security, with proven hands-on work in side-channel attacks, fault injection, and cryptographic system evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of applied cryptography, secure protocol design, and embedded cryptographic implementations.
  • Knowledge of tools such as ChipWhisperer, Riscure Inspector, or custom-built fault injection/SCA platforms.
  • Experience with embedded systems (ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V, STM32, etc.) and debugging interfaces (JTAG, SWD, UART, SPI).
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, C, and assembly for hardware interfacing.
  • Solid knowledge of lab instrumentation: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, pulse generators, etc.
