Senior Identity and Access Management Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Identity and Access Management Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating the identity and access management program across all IT applications, IT services, and technological components. This role ensures the management of how business users and IT personnel access systems and data, aiming to reduce the risk of unauthorized access. The specialist will establish adequate preventive, monitoring, and reactive governance, risk, and compliance controls. This position also entails strategic oversight and day-to-day management of third-party services, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Design and maintain the identity and access management architecture and roadmap in collaboration with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Solution Operations, and Infrastructure Operations across IT systems.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Technology Risk, Risk Management, and Internal Audit to address complex identity and access management requirements.
• Develop and maintain identity and access management policies, processes, and procedures in accordance with industry frameworks and standards.
• Ensure compliance with identity and access management policies and standards across various IT infrastructure components including cloud services, data centers, networks, and applications.
• Manage third-party operations for identity and access management to ensure proper access compliance according to defined policies and SLAs.
• Collaborate with Solution Delivery and Technology Operations teams to onboard new business applications and IT services into identity and access management solutions.
• Participate as a standing member of the Change Advisory Board to ensure compliance with identity and access management policies during technology changes.
• Plan and manage proactive risk assessments and compliance reviews to monitor and assess access-related risks.
• Ensure identity lifecycle policies covering joiner, mover, and leaver scenarios are defined and adopted for all user categories.
• Lead periodic access reviews to ensure appropriate access and reduce risks related to abuse or fraud.
• Establish and maintain technical standards for authentication and authorization in applications and services.
• Design and implement standards for managing privileged access to reduce risks associated with super user access.
• Oversee support and response for identity and access incidents and requests.
• Integrate identity and access management solutions with IT service management processes, including those covered by third-party providers.
• Manage solution landscapes for identity and access management processes, including compliance and privileged identity management.
• Provide training and awareness on identity and access management to enhance adoption during implementations and operations.
• Prepare and present identity access management reports to represent plans, status, and risks to stakeholders.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in information security and identity and access management.
• Languages:
  • English: Mandatory
  • Arabic: Preferred
  • French: Preferred

SKILLS & NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE

• Experience in designing and implementing identity and access management solutions, including privileged access management.
• Experience in managing identity and access management operations.
• Knowledge in designing authentication and authorization standards.
• Ability to create joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
• Skill in planning and executing access-related risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, ISO 27001, CISM, or other recognized information security certifications.
• Good understanding of integration requirements for business solutions and IT infrastructure regarding identity and access management.
