The Senior Infrastructure Architect role is a key position within Core42's Professional Services department, where the primary responsibility is to design and implement cloud and infrastructure solutions for clients. As a Senior Infrastructure Architect, you will develop and implement cloud-based solutions, including the design and deployment of infrastructure components. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the cloud design. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and infrastructure components such as virtualization, networking, storage, and security. Familiarity with leading cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure (must have), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is expected.
Responsibilities
- Understand customers' overall applications portfolio, IT and business priorities, and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions.
- Architect technical solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments.
- Recommend and design solutions for enterprise clients, utilizing cloud-native and third-party solutions for networking, security, storage, backup, and identity management.
- Leverage DevOps methodologies to automate infrastructure deployments, including infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
- Develop high-level and low-level technical design and architecture documents.
- Attend technical discussion meetings to gather information for design specifications.
- Ensure solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability upon deployment.
- Conduct and lead technical workshops with customers and vendors.
- Guide the technical implementation team during project deployment.
- Maintain compliance and documentation frameworks as per standard processes.
- Stay updated on market trends and collaborate with the technical community.
What We're Looking For
- Overall 15+ years of experience in the IT industry and services.
- A minimum of 10+ years of technical delivery and implementation or consulting experience.
- Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Architect/Implementation Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience in cloud architecture design principles (scalability, availability, and security).
- Proven experience with containerization solutions and infrastructure as code implementation.
- Strong background in cloud migration strategies and tools.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate is a plus.
- Knowledge of identity and access control with experience administering B2B and B2C applications.
