Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will be a Simulations and Systems Maintenance Engineer or Technical Operations Manager. You will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of high-end simulators and equipment. This role requires a broad skill set in both technical hardware and software troubleshooting, alongside strong vendor management skills for effective communication regarding repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Engineering Knowledge: Handle motion platforms, actuators, and mechanical parts; conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Electronics and Electrical Engineering: Troubleshoot electrical issues in simulators and ensure systems operate within proper voltage and current ranges.
  • Networking and IT: Maintain network integrity and handle diagnostics for network-connected devices.
  • Software and Systems: Manage simulator software, perform updates, and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors for maintenance, manage warranty claims, and schedule service visits.
  • General Facilities Maintenance: Oversee overall system health, including environmental controls for simulators.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in maintaining high-end simulation systems (flight or racing simulators) is highly desirable.
  • Vendor management experience for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Strong analytical skills for diagnostics on hardware and software issues.
