Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer

The Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role involves overseeing servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments while providing technical leadership and support for infrastructure projects and operations. The engineer ensures that all infrastructure components align with organizational goals, security standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud systems.
• Administer and monitor Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
• Manage virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent platforms.
• Implement and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Ensure system security through patch management, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with IT policies.
• Oversee infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, procedures, and reports.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex infrastructure incidents and root cause analysis.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and scalability.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff on infrastructure best practices.

Experience Required:
3-5 years of experience in a related field.

Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
