Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Systems & Network Administration, Maintenance and support, change, incident, and problem management of Careem's IT systems.
- Manage and support the enterprise network, including day-to-day support, incident management, and the design and implementation of infrastructure changes.
- Deploy, support, and administrate IT infrastructure services and systems, including voice and data networks, MPLS, DPLC, wireless networks, and multisite mesh networks.
- Monitor and maintain network health from layers 1-7, ensuring continuous improvement and documenting Careem's network infrastructure.
- Provide 24x7 second-line support and escalation services for production incidents.
- Communicate relevant project information effectively and engage in service reviews with internal teams and suppliers.
- Ensure changes affecting IT infrastructure occur in a controlled and auditable manner.
Technical Knowledge Required:
- Experience with Datacenter management, Unified Communications, LANs, WANs, Wireless Networks, Virtualization, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, and various network technologies.
- Familiarity with VMware ESX and vCenter, Linux, VoIP telephony systems, IT security tools, and Information Governance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in computer science or a similar discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, Systems, or Network Administrator.
- Desired certifications: Network +, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE or MCITP, AWS/Azure certified, Security +, ITIL.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Next Generation Firewalls, MDM, Virtualization, Active Directory, and SASE.
- Knowledge of tools such as Zscaler, Cisco Meraki, and Orange MPLS is a plus.
Work Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Work schedule: 4 days a week in the office & 1 day from home, with the option to work remotely from any country for 30 days a year.
