Senior IT Procurement Officer

The Senior IT Procurement Officer will manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for the Information Technology Department, acting as the Senior Buyer for the IT category. This role involves receiving RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters, soliciting proposals from vendors, managing vendor communication and negotiation. Responsibilities include attending meetings with senior stakeholders and vendors, preparing procurement plans in collaboration with end users, creating and negotiating contracts with vendors, and issuing Purchase Orders (PO) to ensure execution and delivery.

Key accountabilities also encompass acting as a coordinator between IT and Vendor Management & Contracting Procedures (VMCP) for vendor registration and account updates, initiating Supplier Performance Management (SPM) for all engagements, supporting vendors with pending payments, and ensuring optimal utilization of SAP Ariba. Maintaining ongoing vendor communication and adhering to VMCP Policies & Procedures (P&P) while acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to enhance processes and achieve cost savings are also critical responsibilities.

In terms of financial and contract approval management, the Senior IT Procurement Officer will lead the drafting, reviewing, and execution of contracts with internal and external stakeholders, as well as maintain and monitor the Contract Database for proper archiving of procurement files. Special tasks include assisting internal customers for other categories managed by VMCP and ensuring controls are maintained within all department functions, keeping the Department Head informed of any issues.

Candidates must demonstrate IT procurement experience or possess a background in IT. Preferred qualifications include a CIPS qualification or active membership, along with a preference for banking experience.
