Senior IT Procurement Officer

The role of Senior IT Procurement Officer in the company involves managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for the Information Technology Department, specifically for UAE Nationals only. Key responsibilities include acting as the Senior Buyer for the IT category, receiving RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters, soliciting proposals, and negotiating with vendors. The officer will attend meetings with senior stakeholders, prepare procurement plans, create contracts, issue POs, and ensure vendor registration and account updates. Furthermore, they will handle pending payments, utilize SAP Ariba for procurement processes, and support line managers in audit closures while suggesting process enhancements for cost savings. The officer must ensure timely accommodation of all IT-related procurement requests, maintain effective vendor communication, manage contract drafting and execution, and archiving of procurement files.

Special tasks include assisting internal customers and maintaining good controls within department functions. The ideal candidate should have IT procurement experience or a professional background in IT, and preferred qualifications include being CIPS qualified and having banking experience.
