Position

To manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle related to the Information Technology Department. Key accountabilities include acting as the Senior Buyer for the IT category, receiving RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters, soliciting proposals from vendors, and handling vendor communication and negotiation. The role involves attending meetings with senior stakeholders and vendors, preparing procurement plans with end users, creating contracts for all engagements, and negotiating terms & conditions with vendors. Additionally, the Senior IT Procurement Officer will issue purchase orders (PO) to vendors, coordinate between IT and VMCP for vendor registration and account updates, initiate SPM for all engagements, and ensure the closing of all open POs. Support for vendors regarding pending payments will be provided by coordinating with requesters and FCD. The position requires ensuring the best utilization of SAP Ariba for RFPs, the Contract Workspace, and Reverse Auctions, while maintaining proper vendor communication and adherence to VMCP P&P. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), suggestions to enhance processes and achieve savings are expected, along with accommodating all IT-related procurement requests in a timely manner to avoid delays. This includes leading contract drafting, reviewing, and executing with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining a monitored contract database with proper archiving of procurement files.

Special tasks include providing assistance to all internal customers (other categories managed by VMCP), performing other required tasks such as attending meetings, calls, and preparing reports, while ensuring good controls are maintained in all department-related functions and keeping the Department Head informed of all raised issues.

Requirements for this role are IT procurement experience or a background in IT, with a preference for CIPS qualification or active membership. Banking experience is also preferred.
