Senior IT Procurement Officer

As a Senior IT Procurement Officer, you will manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle related to the Information Technology Department. Your primary role will be acting as the Senior Buyer for the IT category.

Key Accountabilities:

• IT Procurement & Vendor Management:

  • Manage the receipt of RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters and solicit proposals from vendors.
  • Communicate with vendors, negotiate terms, and attend meetings with senior stakeholders and vendors.
  • Prepare procurement plans in collaboration with end users and create contracts for all engagements, negotiating terms and conditions with vendors.
  • Issue purchase orders (PO) to vendors for execution and delivery, and coordinate between IT and the Vendor Management & Compliance Program (VMCP) for vendor registration and account updates.
  • Initiate Supplier Performance Management for all engagements, ensuring the closure of all Open POs, and support vendors with pending payments through coordination with requesters and the Finance and Compliance Department.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of SAP Ariba (RFP, Contract Workspace, Reverse Auction) and maintain effective vendor communication while adhering to VMCP policies and procedures.

• Financial & Contract Approval Management:

  • Lead the drafting, review, and execution of contracts with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining and monitoring the contract database to ensure proper archiving of procurement files.

• Special Tasks:

  • Assist all internal customers with tasks related to other categories managed by VMCP, maintaining good controls within all department-related functions and keeping the Department Head informed of any issues.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required:

• Must have IT procurement experience or a background in IT.
• Preferred: CIPS qualified or active membership.
• Banking experience is preferred.
