Senior IT Procurement Officer

The Senior IT Procurement Officer will manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle related to the Information Technology Department. This role involves acting as a Senior Buyer for the IT category, focusing on procurement and vendor management.

Key Accountabilities:

• Receive RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters and solicit proposals from vendors.
• Conduct vendor communication and negotiation, attending meetings with senior stakeholders and vendors.
• Prepare procurement plans with end-users.
• Create contracts for all engagements and negotiate terms and conditions with vendors.
• Issue purchase orders (PO) to vendors for execution and delivery.
• Coordinate between IT and Vendor Management and Contract Policies (VMCP) for vendor registration and account updates.
• Initiate Supplier Performance Management for all engagements, ensuring the closing of open POs.
• Support vendors with pending payments by coordinating with requesters and the Financial Control Department (FCD).
• Utilize SAP Ariba for requests for proposals, contract workspaces, and reverse auctions.
• Ensure proper and effective vendor communication, adhering to VMCP policies and procedures.
• Lead contract drafting, review, and execution with stakeholders. Maintain and monitor the contract database, ensuring proper archiving of procurement files.
• Provide assistance to all internal customers, perform other tasks as required (e.g., attend meetings, prepare reports).
• Maintain controls in all department-related functions and keep the Department Head informed of all issues.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required:

• Must have IT procurement experience or experience in IT.
• Preferred CIPS qualification or active membership.
• Banking experience is preferred.
