Responsibilities
- Work with the helpdesk on assigned problem tickets.
- Collaborate with network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment.
- Install and support desktops, laptops, and other desktop applications.
- Provide support for accessing and utilizing peripheral devices, including printers, copiers, and scanners.
- Deliver active support to users on the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Support Active Directory and ensure it is maintained with up-to-date user profiles.
- Add and remove users, providing and removing permissions in the Shared Drive.
- Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user premises.
- Load specified software packages, including operating systems, drivers, Microsoft applications, and other software needed for employees' jobs.
- Recover lost data for users using recovery tools.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding systems operation and diagnose system hardware, software, and operator problems, either on-site or remotely.
- Manage telephone system infrastructure with integration of third-party services.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Comply with Information Security Policies.
- Be aware of and fulfill information security responsibilities.
- Ensure individuals handling sensitive company information have completed Security Awareness Training.
- Know how to report a security incident to the IT ServiceDesk.
- Do not disable the OS firewall and/or antivirus.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field is preferable.
- Professional certifications in IT are highly preferred.
- Ability to handle stressful situations pertaining to IT service delivery to business units.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in supporting system-related user issues.
