You will support System Analysts in translating Business Requirements Specifications into Software Requirements Specifications and mentor them during the application design phase to ensure the functionality meets business needs. Integrating information security throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) will be essential, alongside establishing standardized procedures for database design and data retrieval. You will also review application architecture to phase out legacy systems and introduce modern solutions, promoting efficiency in development practices and tools to enhance developer productivity. Remaining informed about trends in port and terminal operations will enable you to provide strategic input on IT solutions, while reviewing QA test results will ensure compliance with specifications.
Technical Competencies:
- Advanced PL/SQL and Core Java (8+) with familiarity in Spring Framework.
- Maintenance of Oracle Forms & Reports, basic Oracle Database Administration, and query optimization.
- Expertise in data migration and working with RESTful APIs for service communication.
- Experience with terminal operating systems like Zodiac and Navis, managing different data formats (EDI / XML / JSON).
- Understanding event-driven architecture within terminal operations, port community systems, and equipment automation interfaces.
