Senior Java Back End Engineer

As a Senior Java Back End Engineer at the company, you will work in a cross-functional team alongside Product Owners, Designers, and fellow engineers to co-develop digital products. You will engage with the full technology stack, from database management to front-end development.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Agile engineering practices and software development technologies to rapidly create solutions that improve customer and employee experiences.
• Collaborate with team members to develop user stories, design tests, and deliver continuous product enhancements.
• Coordinate with various teams for project timelines and deliverables.
• Communicate Agile processes to business stakeholders to manage expectations on delivery.
• Ensure adherence to best practice engineering processes and Agile methodologies.
• Lead automation efforts such as continuous integration and deployment.

Typical Skills & Background:

• 8+ years of software development experience in Agile teams.
• Proficiency in Java 7/8, Java EE, and the Spring framework, especially Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Experience in developing Cloud Native Microservices and Event Driven design using Java.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana, ElasticSearch, Redis, MongoDB, and Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with SQL and a common database technology (e.g., Oracle, MsSQL, MySQL).
• Strong understanding of code refactoring, design patterns, and application security.
• Working experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., jUnit) and DevOps practices.
