Senior Java Engineer

At the company, we are looking for a dynamic Senior Java Engineer to join our team at Dubai Silicon Oasis. In this role, you will lead the way in designing, developing, and maintaining complex Java-based applications to support the bank's digital banking initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the bank's business requirements and technology standards.

What you will do:

• Technically lead the development of web-based applications using Java, Microservices, and related technologies.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of developers, offering guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure high-quality, performance, and security standards in all applications.
• Integrate with third-party systems and services.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in Java and JEE development.
• Implement and manage event streaming solutions using Kafka and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience developing applications.
• At least 9 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and JEE development with high-quality, clean, and maintainable code.
• Design and development experience of Spring Boot, JPA, AWS, and RESTful Web Services.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Wiremock, or Karate.
